Defence ministry to start online registration to set up new Sainik Schools tomorrow

Sainik Schools Society has approved 42 Private, NGOs, State Government Schools as new Sainik Schools.
NEW DELHI: Sainik School Society, Ministry of Defence (MoD) will re-open its registration window as part of the government's initiative to set up 100 new Sainik School on September 27. The registration window for new Sainik will open on the the official webiste, sainikschool.ncog.gov.in.
Candidates should note that the last date of registration for New Sainik schools is November 25. Interested schools, trusts and NGOs can go through the Qualitative Requirements, Memorandum of Agreement and Rules and Regulations for the new Sainik Schools, available on the portal.

It is to be noted that Schools, NGOs, trusts which have already registered and applied during Round-1 and Round-2 need not apply again or pay registration fee again. However, earlier registered applicant will be allowed to update their data on the portal, with fresh inputs, if any.
In addition to giving students better career opportunities, including joining the armed forces, the government's objective of establishing new Sainik Schools is to give state governments, non-profit organisations, and the private sector a chance to collaborate with the federal government on initiatives aimed at fostering national development.
Sainik Schools Society has approved 42 Private, NGOs, State Government Schools as new Sainik Schools. These 42 schools are apart from the existing 33 Sainik Schools already functioning under the erstwhile pattern.
Besides being affiliated with their individual education boards, these new schools will operate in conjunction with the Sainik Schools Society and adhere to its rules and regulations. Students following the Sainik School model will receive instruction in Academic PLUS curriculum in addition to their usual associated board curriculum.
