Try NowWith the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate 2025 (CUET UG 2025) results scheduled to be declared on July 4, candidates aiming for admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are closely monitoring the expected CUET UG cut-off marks. JNU admits students to its undergraduate programmes through the CUET UG scores.
JNU offers Bachelor of Arts (Honours) [BA (Hons.)] programmes in multiple foreign languages, including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Persian, Arabic and Pashto. Each programme has a specified seat intake, and candidates are shortlisted through merit lists prepared according to their CUET UG scores, category and course preferences.
The BA (Hons.) in French recorded a slight drop in the unreserved category cut-off to around 89.7 last year, down from nearly 90 in the previous round. A more noticeable decline was observed in German, where the CUET UG cut-off fell to below 89 from its earlier level of over 89.5. The pattern was similar in the Korean language programme, where the cut-off dropped by more than six points. In the Japanese programme, the scores decreased by nearly four points.
Once the CUET UG 2025 results are declared, JNU will begin its admission process based on the scores. Candidates will have to register on the university’s official admission portal and fill in their course preferences. The university will release merit lists in phases, depending on the availability of seats and the number of applicants.
