'Horrible atmosphere, no transport,' say students; technical glitches disrupt J-K, Delhi exams

Try NowCUET UG 2025 Exam Postponement: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET 2025) at an exam centre in conflict-hit Jammu and Kashmir for two consecutive days due to technical glitches. Previously, the NTA had postponed the CUET UG exam in two states - Rajasthan and Punjab - and three Union Territories - Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh. While exams were postponed for all cities in J-K, Ladakh, and Punjab, the NTA announced that it will hold exams in some cities in Rajasthan and Chandigarh - Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Mohali - on a later date.
The NTA announced it will hold the UG entrance exam from May 13 after being deferred from May 8 due to the military tensions between India and Pakistan. The postponement of exams in these states was also as a result of the Indo-Pak conflicts. However, the NTA issued the admit cards for candidates allotted May 13 to 16 exam dates.

Why was CUET UG exam postponed?
“Due to technical glitches occurred during the examination process at Kite Polytechnic, Vawoosa, Rangreth, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, 190007, of CUET (UG) 2025 examination scheduled on 13.05.2025 (Shift – II) in CBT mode could not be conducted for 76 candidates,” the NTA officials said.
The CUET UG May 14 shift 1 and 2 exams held at Kite Polytechnic, Vawoosa, Rangreth were also cancelled due to technical reasons. The exam was being postponed for the second day on Wednesday.
"Please reschedule.. examination of CUET UG in all centres of Srinagar due to horrible ambience of J-K. In past days, many students of Jammu couldn't go to Srinagar allotted centres for exam as there was no transport service available," a student wrote on X .
“In Delhi, students reported technical and logistical chaos at a centre in Rohini on Tuesday while several candidates missed the exam at a centre in Noida after they reached late due to traffic snarls,” the PTI reported.
CUET UG new exam dates 2025
The NTA also informed that the CUET UG for the affected students will be held in the upcoming dates scheduled for the entrance exam. Fresh CUET UG admit card 2025 will also be issued for such candidates in due course.
Around 13.5 lakh aspirants will appear for the entrance exam till June 3 across the exam centres in India.
