COVID-19 Lockdown: Delhi University postpones all examinations

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) has postponed all examinations till further notice, saying they may be rescheduled at a short notice.
A notification by DU’s Dean of Examinations advised students to stay connected to the university website ( www.exam.du.ac.in ) for latest updates. “It may be noted that the examinations may be rescheduled at short notice,” the notification said on April 9.
The postponement of examinations, both theory and practical, applies to students of regular colleges, School of Open Learning, Non-Collegiate Women Education Board and ex-students.
The statement said “the various Date Sheets issued in this regard stands withdrawn. The fresh Date-Sheet for all the University Examinations shall be notified later,” adding “The fresh date-sheet for all the university examinations shall be notified later.”
DU had earlier put all its admission processes on hold till further notice.
An official statement had said the registration process for undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses for 2020-21 will not take place as the university remains closed till April 14 due to the lockdown.
The government had issued orders imposing a 21-day country-wide lockdown from March 25 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
