CLAT 2026 on December 7, registration from August 1

Consortium of NLUs will conduct CLAT 2026 from 2 pm to 4 pm. CLAT 2026 registration will end on October 31 at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam date 2026. Accordingly, the law entrance test will be held on December 7, 2025 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. CLAT 2026 registration will start from August 1, 2025 on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date to apply for CLAT 2026 is October 31, 2025.
"The Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (the “Consortium”) at their Meetings held on July 20th, 2025 decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 7th 2025, from 2 PM-4 PM," said the consortium in an official notification.

CLAT 2026 notification containing details on CLAT 2026 syllabus, CLAT 2026 exam pattern, CLAT 2026 marking scheme, CLAT 2026 fee, CLAT 2026 eligibility criteria, and more will be 'released shortly' on the official website only.
As per the CLAT eligibility criteria, aspirants who have passed Class 12 with 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates) are eligible for CLAT UG exam while those with an LLB degree having 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, PwD) can apply for CLAT PG exam.
Last year, applicants were required to pay an CLAT application fee of Rs 4,000 for general and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories and Rs 3,500 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and BPL (Below Poverty Line).
CLAT 2025 results
CLAT UG, PG results 2025 were revised following petitions over discrepancies in the answer keys. The Supreme Court ordered the consortium to delete two questions and revise two others in CLAT UG 2025 and publish the CLAT UG 2025 revised results . Similarly, CLAT PG revised results 2025 were declared after the Delhi HC accepted the objections raised by the candidates in two questions out of three and directed the exam authorities to revise the results and reconsider answer key challenge fee.
CLAT 2026 scores will be used for admissions to five-year integrated LLB and one-year LLM programmes offered by 24 NLUs and 21 law universities respectively.
