The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has issued the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 counselling schedule for admissions to five-year undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes for 2026-2027. As per the schedule, the CLAT 2026 counselling registration will begin today at 9 pm. CLAT 2026 Result LIVE
Candidates declared qualified in the CLAT 2026 result can register for the CLAT 2026 counselling through the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Eligible candidates will receive invitations via email, SMS, and their CLAT portal to participate in the counselling process. The last date to register for the CLAT 2026 counselling is December 27.
To complete CLAT 2026 counselling registration, candidates will have to update their NLU preferences and pay the counselling registration fee by the specified deadline. Candidates can provide a minimum of 15 preferences for UG programmes and five for PG programmes.
CLAT 2026 Counselling: Registration fee
The counselling registration fee is Rs 30,000 for general category candidates and Rs 20,000 for candidates in reserved categories. The counselling process will have five rounds, during which candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’, ‘Float’, or ‘Exit’ options based on the seat allotted.
The Freeze option confirms the seat and requires payment of a non-refundable confirmation fee. The Float option allows candidates to retain the allocated seat while remaining eligible for a higher preference in subsequent rounds. The Exit option allows candidates to leave the counselling process, with forfeiture of the confirmation fee if applicable.
