CLAT 2025: Consortium asks PwD candidates to inform for scribe by November 23

CLAT 2025: Candidates with specified disabilities wishing to request consortium for scribe need to submit documents by November 25.
NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has asked the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates to submit the necessary documents for the scribe facility. Those who wish to arrange their own scribe are required to inform the consortium by November 23. CLAT 2025 will be held on December 1 for admission to law programmes offered by participating colleges.
Candidates with specified disabilities wishing to opt for a scribe will have to inform the consortium by 5 pm of November 23 and submit the required certificate by 5 pm of November 25. It is mandatory for the students to upload the document in order to get the facility.
“Any candidate with “specified disabilities” as defined in Section 2(s) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 who has a physical limitation that impedes writing and wishes to opt for a scribe or a reader assistance is requested to inform the Consortium of the same by uploading the relevant document(s) to their applicant portal,” the consortium said in an official notice.
Additionally, if the candidates wish to arrange their own scribe, they are required to upload Appendix II and III by 5 pm of November 23, 2024. Students have been advised to check the instructions on qualifications for a scribe in the PwD guidelines.
“Please enter your CLAT admit card number in the Appendix for CLAT RegistrationID. Requests received in phone calls/emails/tickets will not be considered,” the consortium added.
How to upload documents?
The consortium issued the following instructions to upload the certificates:
- Login to your CLAT 2025 account.
- Click on the ‘Submit Scribe Documents’ button.
- Fill the form completely indicating if you will arrange for your own scribe or
- Request consortium to arrange the scribe and click on the ‘Save’ button
