CLAT 2021: Check out CLAT cut-off for admission to the NLUs
Manashjyoti | July 3, 2021 | 01:05 PM IST | 2 mins read
For admission into an NLU, you must meet CLAT 2021 cut-off criteria. For instance, general category candidates need a CLAT rank of around 100 for admission to NLSIU Bangalore.
NEW DELHI: The Consortium of NLUs conducts centralized counselling and seat allotment for participating NLUs. The allotment of seats is done based on CLAT merit rank and option picked by candidates during choice filling. The last rank for which a candidate gets admission to an NLU in their category is the CLAT cut-off for that programme.
The cut-off may vary depending on factors like seat intake, programme applied for admission, CLAT 2021 merit rank of applicants, etc. A top NLU like NLSIU Bangalore or NALSAR generally receives more applications than a lowly ranked university, so you will need a higher rank for admission to these institutes.
CLAT 2021 exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode on July 23 (2-4 pm). The admit card for the exam is expected soon .
How will the CLAT 2021 cut-off be determined
Factors that will be considered for preparing the CLAT cut-off for an institute
-
Total applicants for the programme
-
The merit rank of these applicants in the CLAT 2021 exam
-
Seat intake for the programme
-
Category (SC, ST, etc)
-
NIRF Ranking of the institute.
If any of the above-mentioned parameters changes, the cut-off of CLAT would also change. Take for instance, if seat intake is increased the cut-off would come down and vice versa.
