Chhattisgarh education department revises school timings for Saturdays

Chhattisgarh: All Class 10 and 12 schools operating in the first shift across the state will function from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
The Chhattisgarh school education department has fixed the school timings for Saturdays. All schools in the state in shift one will operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The timings for primary and pre-secondary classes have also been revised.
According to an official public relations department statement, all schools that operate in two shifts, primary and pre-secondary classes will be held from 12 noon to 4 pm, and high school and secondary schools will operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Orders have been issued from the ministry of Mahanadi Bhawan School Education Department regarding the school timings.
Recently, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025, chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced that Science clubs will be established in 101 schools , and workshops on space and satellites will be held in more than 200 schools in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur district.
These activities will be conducted over a span of 75 days to promote scientific thinking, ignite curiosity, and innovation among school students. The activities are undertaken as a part of the district administration's 'Mission Antariksh' and 'Project Jai Vigyan' by the chief minister.
The projects under Jai Vigyan will include workshops, exhibitions, competitions, and innovation-based projects to empower students and build confidence. The district administration signed an agreement with Igniting Dreams of Young Minds (IDYM) Foundation and Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) to launch the two initiatives.
