Chevening Scholarship 2025: Applications for a fully-funded Master’s in UK to open tomorrow
2-year work experience is mandatory for the Chevening India Scholarship for Master’s. Chevening Fellowships are for mid-senior working professionals.
Applications for the Chevening Scholarships and Fellowships 2025 are open. The scholarship provides a fully-funded one-year Master’s degree at any UK university, while the fellowship offers full financial support for a specialised professional development course. Applications for the UK flagship financial aid programme can be submitted from August 5 to October 7.
Indian aspirants must have a 2-year work experience acquired after the completion of their undergraduate studies. The Chevening Fellowships are open to candidates who are mid-to-senior level professionals. The fellowships cover 8-12-week-long programmes for career development with lectures, workshops, site visits and networking.
Chevening Scholarship recipients will get financial coverage for the full tuition fees, with economy travel from their residence country, as well as the visa application. The students will also receive up to 75 pounds sterling for TB testing, if required. A travel top-up allowance and a monthly stipend will be given for accommodation and living expenses. Scholarship awardees will also get a departure allowance as well as an arrival allowance to ease the relocation process.

Chevening Fellowships for India in 2025

- Chevening Cyber Security Fellowship, delivered at Cranfield University
- Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence, delivered at the University of Oxford
- Chevening Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship, delivered at the University of Oxford
- Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship, delivered at the University of Westminster
The UK Chevening Scholarship in India is supported by various government partners, like Jharkhand, Nagaland, Karnataka, and Uttarakhand. It is also supported by industry partners like the Adani Group and TVS Motors. According to an official report, 60% of Chevening scholars are from tier 2 and tier 3 cities, promoting societal development.
