Central University of Rajasthan to remain the conducting body of CUCET

Try NowNEW DELHI : Putting an end to all the ongoing reports, the consortium of Central Universities Common Entrance Test has roped in Central University of Rajasthan to conduct CUCET 2020. As per the earlier reports, the National Testing Agency was likely to take over as the conducting body of CUCET for the academic session 2020-21 . The approval was pending from the end of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. However, finally Central University of Rajasthan has now been assigned to conduct the entrance examination.
The application form of CUCET 2020 will be released on March 16. The last date to fill and submit the applications will be April 11. The national level test will be conducted for UG/ PG programmes on May 23 and May 24, whereas for Research programmes the examination will be held on May 30 and May 31. The results will be announced on June 24.
15 central universities, 4 state universities and one NIT will offer admissions to its UG, PG and Research programmes through Central Universities Common Entrance Test.
New Participating Institutes
Three state universities including Sardar Patel University of of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Jammu and Kashmir and Khallikote University, Berahampur along with National Institute of Technology, Trichy have joined the consortium for academic session 2020-21. This is the first time, an NIT is offering admissions to its programmes through CUCET. In the early week of February, Central University of Odisha, Koraput had joined the club. As reported by Times of India, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Odisha, Prof. Ramabrahmam said “Joining CUCET is to increase diversity and help in building the national character in true sense. It would help in promoting equality education to a large number of students”.
