CBSE postpones March 2 Class 10, 12 board exams in Middle East; revised schedule later
CBSE has postponed Class 10 and 12 board exams scheduled for March 2, 2026, in 7 Middle Eastern countries. Will announce revised dates after reviewing the situation.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle East countries. The announcement was made through the official CBSE account on X, along with a circular informing schools and students about the change.

The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. According to the circular, the exams planned for Monday, March 2, will not be held as scheduled. CBSE has said that the revised exam dates will be announced later.

The official notice reads, "The examinations scheduled for Monday, 02 March 2026, for both Class X and Class XII, are postponed. The new dates shall be announced later. The Board will review the situation on Tuesday, 03 March 2026 and take appropriate decisions with regard to examinations scheduled from 05 March onwards.”
The board explained that the decision was taken due to the current situation in parts of the Middle East. It also said that it will review the situation on March 3, 2026, and then decide whether exams scheduled from March 5 onwards will be conducted as planned or postponed.
Students have been advised to stay in touch with their schools and regularly check official CBSE updates to avoid confusion. Schools have also been asked to inform students and parents about the latest developments and guide them accordingly.
Fake circular
CBSE recently alerted students, parents, and schools about a fake circular circulating on social media that falsely claimed the cancellation of board examinations in the Middle East region. The board clarified through its official headquarters account on X that the notice was not genuine and urged everyone not to rely on unverified information.
