CBSE launches psycho-social counselling services for Class 10, 12 students ahead of board exams 2026
The tele-communication services will help students and parents to interact with a panel of 73 trained professionals, including principals, special educators from CBSE-affiliated schools, and qualified psychologists.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched psycho-social counselling services for Class 10 and 12 students from today. The initiative is aimed at addressing examination-related stress and emotional well-being ahead of the board exams 2026.

The board has commenced the first phase of its annual free psycho-social counselling services from today and it will continue till June 1, 2026. Students can access the tele-communication services from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm every day except Saturday and Sunday.
The tele-communication services will help students and parents to interact with a panel of 73 trained professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators from CBSE-affiliated schools, and qualified psychologists.
Initiative to address exam stress, emotional well-being of students
“This initiative is aimed at addressing examination-related stress and emotional well-being, enabling students to approach their forthcoming Theory Exams , scheduled to begin from 17 February 2026 , with confidence, balance, and mental clarity,” the CBSE said.
Moreover, students can also dial 1800-118-004 and use a 24x7 support system in Hindi and English through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
It provides practical guidance on stress free preparation , effective time and stress management, responses to frequently asked questions, and important CSBE -related content information to be utilised by students .
Of 73 counsellors, 63 are based out of India, 12 from Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
“A curated collection of resources on stress management , effective study strategies, and emotional well-being is available on the CBSE website (www.cbse.gov.in). These resources are designed to be engaging, concise, and easily accessible for students,” the board said.
The board has also urged students and parents to utilise these support services as part of the ongoing efforts to support students’ psycho-social well being sessions.
