Check Now testNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the first day of the CTET 2024 exam, today, December 14, 2024. The CTET 2024 exam was conducted in two shifts. Shift 1 of the CTET 2024 exam was held from 9:30 am to 12 pm for Paper 2, while Paper 1 was conducted in shift 2 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
Paper 1 is conducted for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who intend to teach Classes 1 to 8 are required to appear for both papers.
The CTET 2024 exam will also be conducted tomorrow, December 15, 2024. As the board notified earlier, if the number of candidates in a particular city is high, the CTET December 2024 exam may be scheduled for December 15 as well.
CTET 2024: Qualifying marks
For the CTET qualification, general category candidates must achieve a minimum of 60% aggregate, which equates to 90 out of 150 marks. For candidates from reserved categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), need to secure at least 55% aggregate, which equates to a minimum of 82 out of 150 marks.
