A vacation bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and Diner Maheswari will hear the petitions at 11 am today.
As per the Times of India report, “Around 1,152 students filed a joint petition, seeking direction to the CBSE for cancellation of the 12th board private compartment examination in physical mode. They demanded that students should be evaluated by adopting a formula similar to the assessment formula adopted by CBSE for the regular students and to release Class 12 board results in a time-bound manner,” the petition said.
The petitioners sought a direction to the Central Board of Secondary Education to resolve the grievances, objections that would be raised by students, giving them fair and equal treatment with that of regular students, the petition further said.
Regular students of CBSE Class 12 will have their result based on their performance in the Classes 10 and 11 final exams and Class 12 pre-board exams.
