CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exam 2021-22: Physics syllabus has five units

The Class 12 CBSE Board exam 2021-22 exam and syllabus has been revised owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The syllabus has been divided almost equally into two sections for the two-term exams. The CBSE Term 2 examination will begin from April 26.. The CBSE Term 1 question paper was multiple-choice questions (MCQ) type, whereas the CBSE term 2 question paper will be of subjective type.

While in the CBSE Term 1 exam, students were only given 90 minutes to finish the exam, the CBSE Term 2 exam duration will be 2 hours. The detailed list of topics of the Class 12 physics syllabus for the term 2 exams is given below:

The weightage for the CBSE Class 12 term 2 science exam will be 35 marks. Besides, a 15 marks practical examination will be conducted. The same marking scheme has been followed in the term 1 mathematics exam too. Hence, the grand total marks will be 100.

CBSE Term 2 Physics Syllabus: Chapters
Students will have to cover as many as 6 chapters from five units in the term 2 syllabus for Class 12 exams. These are the units and chapters:
- Unit 5 - Chapter 8: Electromagnetic waves
- Unit 6 - Chapter 9: Ray Optics and Optical Instruments, Chapter 10: Wave Optics
- Unit 7 - Chapter 11: Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter
- Unit 8 - Chapter 12: Atoms, Chapter 13: Nuclei
- Unit 9 - Chapter 14: Semiconductor-Electronics: Materials, Devices and Simple Circuits

The board clarified that there will be no change in the exam pattern for the CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 board exam and the question papers will be same as that of the CBSE sample paper.
