The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Geography exam today from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Students will have access to unofficial answer keys and question papers with solutions to evaluate their performance soon.

A 15-minute reading time, from 10:15 am to 10:30 am, will be provided to allow candidates to read the question paper before writing begins carefully. CBSE authorities have stated that no student will be allowed to enter the centre after 10 am.

CBSE Class 12 Geography: Exam day guidelines

Students appearing for the Class 12 Geography board exam should carefully follow the guidelines below to ensure a hassle-free experience.

  • Candidates are encouraged to arrive at the examination centre at least 30 to 45 minutes before the official reporting time.
  • No student will be allowed to enter the examination hall once the reporting time has passed.
  • Candidates must bring their CBSE-issued admit card to the examination venue.
  • Students who fail to present a valid admit card will not be permitted to take the examination.
  • The question paper and answer booklet will be distributed 15 minutes before the start of the exam.
  • During the allotted reading time, candidates should thoroughly read the questions and complete all necessary details on the answer sheet.

The Class 12 Geography paper carries a total of 100 marks, comprising a 70-mark theory examination and a 30-mark practical or project component. To pass the CBSE Board Exams 2026, students must secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject, including theory, practical, and internal assessment components.
