CBSE will announce the procedures for photocopy, verification, and re-evaluation after declaring the results. The CBSE Class 10, 12 result 2025 announcement date is yet to be finalised.
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced a change in the sequence of post-result activities for Class 10, 12 exam 2025. The revised process prioritises providing a photocopy of the evaluated answer books before verification of marks or re-evaluation.
CBSE 2025 Sample Papers: Science | Math-Basic | Math-Standard | Social Science
Scholarship Test: Vidyamandir Intellect Quest (VIQ) | ALLEN TALLENTEX
CBSE 2025 Sample Papers: English (Language & Literature) | English (Comm.) | Hindi-A | Hindi-B
As per the revised process, students are now required to first obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer books. This will allow them to view their responses and the marks awarded for each question, helping them assess their performance more clearly.
Once they have the photocopy, they can decide whether to proceed with the next steps. If they choose, they can apply for verification of marks, which includes checking if there were any errors in the marking, totalling, or evaluation of their answers.
Students can also apply for re-evaluation, where specific questions or answers are reassessed. Candidates can also opt for both verification and re-evaluation, depending on their concerns.
Under the previous system, students followed a three-step process in a specific order. They first applied for the verification of marks, which involved checking for errors in posting or totaling. After that, they could obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer books. Finally, candidates had the option to request re-evaluation of specific questions.
New process to minimise re-evaluation errors
CBSE stated that this change in sequence is intended to provide candidates with the opportunity to review their evaluated answer books before making decisions about further actions. It allows them to better understand the marks they received and address any issues they may find in the evaluation.
“Introduction of this new system will allow students to see their evaluated answer books before rechecking and give them clarity on the marks awarded, specific comments, and any errors made,” it said.
CBSE 10th, 12th result announcement date
The detailed procedures for applying for photocopy, verification, and re-evaluation for the CBSE 2025 board exam will be released after the declaration of CBSE Class 10, 12 results 2025. Recently, the board clarified that the CBSE Class 10, 12 result 2025 announcement date has not been finalised yet.
