The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the CBSE Class 12th political science exam 2026 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. CBSE Class 12th political science exam was balanced, moderate in difficulty, and fully aligned with the prescribed syllabus. The MCQs were clear and application-based. Now, the CBSE Class 12th political science exam is over, students will have access to unofficial answer keys and analysis to evaluate their performance.

CBSE board Class 12th exams 2026 began on February 17 and will end on April 10. More than 16 lakh students will appear for the CBSE 12th exams 2026 for 114 subjects.

As per the exam guidelines, students must reach the exam centres atleast 30 minutes before the exam begins.

CBSE Class 12 Political Science Analysis 2026

According to the subject experts, the political science question paper was balanced, moderate in difficulty, and fully aligned with the prescribed syllabus. The MCQs were clear and application-based, while short and long answer questions were drawn from important topics, giving students a fair chance to perform well. Source-based, case-based, and map questions were manageable for well-prepared students, and internal choices in long-answer questions added flexibility. Overall, the paper was fair, student-friendly, and allowed learners to confidently demonstrate their understanding.

In addition, several well-known coaching institutes will publish answer keys on their official websites and YouTube channels, offering students further guidance and reference.

According to the CBSE board guidelines, students must secure atleast 33% marks in both theoretical and practical exams to pass the CBSE 12th board exams 2026. However, if a student falls short by just one mark in meeting the passing criteria, CBSE may award grace marks under the board’s rule.
