The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE Class 12 Hindi paper 2026 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm today. As per subject experts, the CBSE 12th Hindi paper aligned with the prescribed syllabus and was "easy" for most of the students.

According to several media reports, CBSE 12th Hindi paper overall difficulty level remained "easy to moderate." Class 12 Hindi paper was aligned with curricular objectives and was effective in assessing comprehension, analytical abilities, and writing skills of students.

The 12th Hindi paper questions were designed in a way that enabled students to effectively demonstrate their understanding of key concepts, another subject expert said.

Students will be able to calculate their probable marks using the CBSE 12th Hindi paper unofficial answer keys shared by subject experts.

CBSE Class 12th Passing Criteria 2026

As per the passing criteria, students need to score at least 33% marks to pass the CBSE Class 12 Hindi paper 2026. CBSE Class 12 Hindi theory paper contains 80 marks, while 20 marks will be given for internal assessment, making the paper worth 100 marks in total.

Those who score below 33% marks in any CBSE Class 12 board exams will have to appear for a compartment or improvement exam to qualify.

The board exam for CBSE Class 12 Hindi paper had three sections, A, B and C. As per the exam pattern, section A had questions on reading comprehension, carrying 20 marks.

Section B was based on writing skills such as letters, essays for 20 marks. Whereas, section C question will be on Hindi literature, which will carry 40 marks.
