CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the CBSE Class 12 Economics exam 2026 today, March 18. Students find CBSE Class 12 Economics paper moderate to slightly difficulty, and the questions were largely application-based. The paper demanded strong conceptual understanding and analytical ability from students to score high marks. The examination is being held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm across centres nationwide.
Students were required to carry their school ID and admit card for verification at exam centres. The CBSE board exams 2026 will continue as scheduled and conclude on April 10.
As per subject experts, the CBSE 12th economics paper was moderate to slightly difficult level. The paper demanded strong conceptual understanding and analytical ability from students to score high marks.
According to another subject expert, the paper was moderate and well-balanced, closely aligned with NCERT and previous year patterns. Most questions were concept-based, making the paper scoring for well-prepared students.
The CBSE 12th economics paper 2026 will have objective, short, long, and case study-based questions. The Economics paper will not just assess students’ theoretical knowledge, but also evaluate their ability to apply concepts to real-life economic situations.

According to the marking scheme, the CBSE Class 12 Economics examination is of 100 marks in total, with 80 marks allocated to the theory paper and 20 marks reserved for internal assessment.
