NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 mathematics exam 2025 was 'easy' for most of the candidates. Some students were not happy with the exam while a few found section C 'tricky'. The exam was held for a duration of three hours from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm today, March 10 for basic and standard level The CBSE Class 10 maths answer key 2025 pdf will be made available soon.

Students were required to carry their CBSE admit card 2025 along with their school ID to the examination centre mentioned on their hall ticket. CBSE Class 10 dress code 2025 requires examinees to appear for their exam in their school uniform only.

CBSE Class 10 Maths Exam 2025: Paper pattern, marking scheme

CBSE Class 10 maths basic and standard exams 2025 will be held for a total of 80 marks each. The CBSE 10th maths question paper 2025 will comprise 38 questions divided into five sections:

  • Section A: 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each.
  • Section B: Five very short answer-type (VSA) questions of two marks each.
  • Section C: Six short answer-type (SA) questions of three marks each.
  • Section D: Four long answer-type (LA) questions of five marks each.
  • Section E: Three case-study-based questions of four marks each with sub-parts of values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each, respectively.

It is compulsory for students to attempt all the questions in CBSE 10th maths exam 2025, however, the board has provided an internal choice in two questions each in section B, section C and section D. There will be internal choice in all the questions carrying 2 marks in Section E.
