CAT Toppers List 2025: Non-engineers dominate top scores; 12 candidates secure perfect 100 percentile

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has announced the CAT results 2025 for 2.58 lakh applicants who appeared in the exam conducted on November 30 in three slots. Like previous years’, the quantitative aptitude (QA) section was rated toughest compared to the verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), and data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR).
Among the CAT 2025 toppers, nine candidates from non-engineering backgrounds secured 100 percentile, compared to three engineering students.
Last year, among the 1 4 candidates who secured 100 percentile , 13 were engineering students, while one candidate was from a non-engineering background. Notably, 13 male and just one female achieved the top score. Maharashtra shined with the highest number of toppers, followed by Telangana. Of the total toppers who got 99.99 percentile, 28 out of 29 candidates were from engineering background and only were female.

At 99.99 percentile, 14 non-engineers again exceeded 12 from engineering background. The gap widened for 99.98 percentile, wherein 18 non-engineers secured the score. This shows a contrast to previous years’ CAT toppers list, where engineers dominated the highest percentile bracket.
