NEW DELHI- IIM Lucknow has concluded the CAT 2023 slot 1 today at 10:30 am.The exam commenced early in the morning at 8:30 am in 155 different cities across the country. The CAT slot 1 analysis 2023 shared by the candidates who took the exam today said that the difficulty level was moderate. The CAT question paper 2023 slot 1 had 66 questions like last year. No surprise element was there and the CAT exam was on the similar lines like that of last year.

Candidates sharing the CAT exam analysis slot 1 said that there were some questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section that were hard to solve but rest of the sections were moderate.
CAT Slot 1 Analysis: Key Points
- The CAT 2023 slot 1 exam was based on the last 5 years CAT question paper pattern. The number of questions in the CAT exam were 66. All the questions in each section of CAT 2023 were similar to previous year CAT question papers.
- Based on the CAT slot 1 analysis, the difficulty level of the CAT 2023 exam was moderate. There were no surprise elements and no out of the box questions in the exam.
- As per the CAT 2023 slot 1 analysis, the CAT previous year questions were repeated in the CAT 2023 question paper this year as well.
CAT slot 1 analysis- VARC section
- CAT VARC section consisted of questions from para jumbles, sentence filling and summary. There were 4 reading comprehension with 16 questions and 8 questions from verbal ability section.
- CAT slot 1 exam had 2 para jumbles, 2 odd one out, 2 summaries.
- The complete VARC section was moderately difficult this year.
CAT slot 1 analysis- DILR section

DILR section had 4 sets with 5 questions each in CAT 2023 slot 1 exam. Questions were on number breaking and restaurants and ratings, mean, median and mode. 2 sets were doable and 2 sets were difficult in
DILR section of CAT 2023. - All the sets were a mix of DI and LR topics; there were no specific questions from any specific topic.
CAT slot 1 analysis- QA section
- CAT Quant section was dominated by arithmetic (percentage question), algebra, simple and compound interest, quadratic and cubic questions. There were 8-9 arithmetic questions, 5-6 algebra questions in CAT 2023.
- There was a question from modex that was also repeated in the CAT 2023 question paper.
- There was one question on numbers mainly on divisibility, coordinate geometry and time and distance, there were no questions on factorial and functions in the CAT exam.
CAT 2023 slot 1 sectional analysis
CAT 2023 slot 1 has been concluded. The CAT exam slot 2 will commence at 12:30 pm. Meanwhile, candidates appearing for CAT slot 2 and slot 3 can benefit from this CAT slot 1 analysis 2023.

The CAT answer key 2023 will be released probably in the first week of December. Common Admission Test is the most widely accepted management exam in the country.
