As per the CAT 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be given 3 marks for each correct answer, 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response, and no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

CAT 2025: How to calculate scores using answer key?
For example, if the student gets 30 answers right, which will be reflected in the answer key CAT 2025, the score will be 30 x 3 = 90 marks. If they get 10 answers wrong in the CAT exam, their score will be 10 x (-1) = -10. So, the total CAT marks scored by the candidate will be 90 - 10 = 80.
However, if a correct answer is marked as incorrect by IIM, you can object to the question, and IIM will release the final CAT answer key along with the CAT 2025 result. Once the CAT 2025 score is known, candidates can check their admission chances to the IIMs and top MBA colleges in India.
