BPSC TRE 3.0 exam cancelled due to paper leak; re-exam dates to be announced soon

BPSC TRE 3 exam held on March 15 has been cancelled after reports of EOU stating that the paper was leaked before the exam commenced.
NEW DELHI: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has cancelled the teacher recruitment exam (TRE 3.0) exam held on March 15 due to paper leak. The announcement comes after the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of Bihar police confirmed that the BPSC TRE 3 question paper was leaked before the conduct of the examination.
“In the light of the report of the Economic Offenses Unit, Bihar, Patna, the School Teacher Competitive Examination (TRE 3.0) (Advt. No. 22/2024) held in both the shifts on 15.03.2024 is canceled due to the question paper being leaked before the examination. Is. The date of re-conduct of TRE- 3.0 examinations will be announced later,” the BPSC said in its latest statement.
The third phase of BPSC TRE was held on March 15 in two shifts. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held in two days, however, the March 16 exam was postponed due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The EOU detained more than 270 aspirants on the day of the exam after probing on the initial tip-off. However, the commission said it will not cancel the exam stating that there was not enough evidence that it was leaked before the exam.
Students started flooding social media with videos and screenshots of WhatsApp chat of paper leak and demanded re-exam. Several candidates also staged protests demanding justice.
It was found that the ‘solver gang’ received the BPSC TRE question paper before bar coding and being sent to the printing press. The gang allegedly took Rs 10 lakh or more from candidates in return for the answer key.
