Assam: ICAI CA May 2022 exams postponed at Silchar examination centre

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Intermediate and Final exams scheduled to be held on May 19 and May 20, 2022, at the Silchar examination centre in the state of Assam. The decision to postpone the examination at the aforesaid examination centre has been announced due to the ongoing floods in the state. The CA May 2022 exams at all other exam centres will be held as per the schedule.
The ICAI has said that the decision to postpone the CA May 2022 exams is in compliance with an order of the Office of Deputy Commissioner, District Disaster Management Authority, Silchar directing all the educational institutions to remain closed for the next 48 hours due to ongoing floods.
“It has been decided by the competent authority to postpone Final Examination, Group I, Paper 3, Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics & Intermediate Examination, Group I, Paper 3, Cost and Management Accounting scheduled to be held on 19th and 20th, May 2022 respectively at Silchar (Assam) Examination Centre only,” it said.

The new dates for the Silchar examination centre will be announced soon. Candidates may also note that the schedule of all other CA papers will remain unchanged.

ICAI is currently conducting CA Final and Intermediate examinations across the country. Both CA Final and Intermediate programmes have eight papers, divided into two groups. As per the schedule, the exams will be completed by May 30, 2022. The CA admit cards for all registered candidates have already been released on April 30, 2022.
