HSLC 2023 Paper Leak: SEBA to hold Class 10 MIL, English (IL) exams on April 1

The cancelled Assam board Class 10 general science exam will be held on March 28.
NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) will conduct the MIL and English (IL) papers on April 1. The English (IL) and MIL papers including Assamese were scheduled to be held on March 18 but were postponed.
The MIL and English (IL) papers were postponed after the accused who was caught leaking the general science paper, during interrogation, confessed to having leaked the Assamese question paper as well.
Announcing the Class 10 MIL and English (IL) exam date, education minister of Assam said: “SEBA has rescheduled the exam of all MIL/English (IL) subjects on April 1, 2023.”

The general science exam was also cancelled by SEBA following reports that the question paper had been leaked. The Class 10 general science exam will now be held on March 30 and the revised exam date for Class 10 English (C1) paper for the students of JR Higher Secondary school, Ganigram examination centre is March 28, 2023.
This year, Assam board Class 10 exam has been marred by question paper leak and investigations.
With two tests of the SEBA Class 10 exams postponed within a week following the leak of question papers, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu asserted that the entire examination system will be analysed and rectified. The education minister also admitted that there are “lapses in the system” and has to figure out where the problems are and take corrective measures.
