AP Inter 2026 Exam Feb 27 LIVE: BIEAP 1st, 2nd year History, Botany analysis; exam timing, pattern, updates

AP Inter 2026 Exam LIVE: The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) concluded the AP Inter 1st year exams today, February 27, with Paper I: Botany and History, across 1,537 exam centres in the state. The AP Inter exams will be held in single sessions — from 9 am to 12 noon.

This year, around 10.57 lakh students registered for the AP Inter 1st and 2nd year exam 2026. Out of them, nearly 5.31 lakh students will sit for the Inter first year exam, and about 5.26 lakh students will appear for the 2nd year exam.

As per the AP IPE time table 2026, the AP Inter 1st year exams is being held from February 23 to March 12, and the 2nd year exams from February 24 to March 13, 2026.

Candidates should download the AP Inter 2026 1st and 2nd year exam admit card from the official website of BIEAP at bie.ap.gov.in. To access the hall ticket, students should enter the login credentials, including roll number, date of birth or full name, and captcha code.

AP Inter 1st and 2nd year exam 2026: Revised pattern

BIEAP has introduced significant reforms to the AP Intermediate Exams 2026.

• Under the revised format, first-year students will receive a 32-page answer booklet instead of the earlier 24-page version, in line with the updated syllabus and question pattern.
• All answers must be written within this booklet, and no additional sheets will be provided. However, second-year students will continue using the standard 24-page answer booklet.
• Mathematics 1A and 1B have now been consolidated into a single paper. Similarly, Botany and Zoology have been merged into one combined Biology paper, thereby reducing the total number of examinations students need to appear for.
• The board has also introduced one-mark questions in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology to strengthen objective evaluation.
• Furthermore, the AP Intermediate syllabus has been aligned with NCERT guidelines to help students better prepare for national-level entrance examinations like JEE and NEET.
• In addition, the board has revised the passing criteria and assessment structure, while maintaining internal and practical examinations alongside theory papers to ensure a comprehensive evaluation system.
