Download NowNEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced that from AIBE XVI 2021 onwards no books, notes or study material will be allowed in the examination hall. Candidates can, however, carry Bare Acts, without notes. Bare Acts are the exact text of a particular enactment by legislature, without interpretation.
“This is to notify that AIBE-XVI onwards no books, notes or study material will be allowed in the examination hall. Candidates can only carry Bare Acts without notes,” the BCI notification read.
Previously, All India Bar Examination was held as an open book exam. Candidates were allowed to carry sturdy materials to the exam centre. The BCI’s move to restrict candidates from using books while appearing for the exam may make the exam tougher.
