AICTE requests VCs, principals to provide vacant seats to Indian students from Ukraine

Ukraine News for Indian Students: Around 20,000 Indian students returned to India from the war-hit Ukraine. Students are in desperation as their educational future is uncertain.
NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has requested all vice-chancellors of technical universities and all directors, principals of AICTE approved Institutions to consider the cases of Indian students who returned from war-torn Ukraine, and to allocate them to the vacant seats available in their institutions at appropriate levels to facilitate the continuation of education.
Around 20,000 Indian students returned to India from the war-hit Ukraine. Most of these students were pursuing medical and engineering courses in different universities in Ukraine. "All these students are in deep desperation as their educational future is uncertain in the war-torn country," said a circular from AICTE.

The issue of future education of the Indian students who returned from Ukraine was discussed in the parliament. As per the recommendation, the centre should facilitate all educational possibilities for those who want to continue their education in India. "It concerns the future of thousands of Indians which should not be neglected," said AICTE.
