Mismatch in AIBE 19 question paper, OMR numbers; BCI to consider code written in answer sheet

Download NowNEW DELHI: Candidates who appeared in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 19) have reported instances of mismatch between question paper booklet number and OMR answer sheet number. Taking note of this, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has urged the candidates to remain calm and assured that the issue will not affect the AIBE results.
The BCI conducted the AIBE 19 exam on December 22 for awarding Certificate of Practice (CoP) to law graduates desirous of practicing law in India. Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories will have to obtain 45% and SC, ST candidates will have to score a minimum of 40% to qualify the exam, as per the AIBE 19 passing mark criteria.
The council uploaded the AIBE 19 provisional answer key for Set A, B, C, and D on December 28 and allowed candidates to raise objections by paying Rs 500 per question. The AIBE answer key challenge window was closed on January 10.
In a latest update, the BCI said: “Some instances of mismatched QP Booklet numbers and OMR answer sheet serial numbers have been reported. Please be assured that your result will be evaluated based on the Question Paper set code provided during the examination which you filled in your handwriting on the OMR answer sheet.”

The AIBE 19 results will be evaluated based on the question paper set code filled by the candidates on the OMR answer sheet.
“There is no need to worry about any mismatch between the QP booklet number and OMR answer sheet serial number. We request all candidates to remain calm and rest assured that this issue will not affect the evaluation of your results,” it added.
