AHSEC HS first year exam 2021 cancelled; Students to be promoted without exams

Assam Class 11 exam cancelled 2021 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. Students will be promoted to Class 12 without exams.
NEW DELHI : The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has cancelled the Assam higher secondary (HS) first-year exam 2021 due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, according to India Today report. Assam Class 11 students will also be promoted to the next class without examination.
“The Higher Secondary First Year Examination, 2021 scheduled to be held from 04/05/2021 which aw postponed has now been cancelled and all the students, who have filled up online applications for the same are hereby declared to have been promoted to the HS 2nd year class for the academic session 2021-2022,” as per the official statement, India Today reported.
Earlier, the board postponed the Assam HS first year exam , however, due to the increasing COVID-19 cases, the Assam board finally decided to cancel the AHSEC Class 11 exams. The Class 11 exam was scheduled to begin on May 4, 2021.
Assam board postponed HSLC (Class 10) and AHSEC HS (Class 12) exams. On May 4, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “It is for information of all concerned that due to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Higher Secondary final examination 2021 scheduled to be held from May 11, 2021, has been postponed until further order.”
The revised dates for Assam Class 10 and 12 exams will be decided after reviewing the current situation at a later date.
