50,700 students register for GATE 2024 through NPTEL portal

Current semester started on October 15, 2023 and 19 mock tests have been completed in seven subjects on the NPTEL-GATE portal, gate.nptel.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: A total of 50,700 students have registered for the Graduate Admission Test for Engineering (GATE 2024) through the NPTEL-GATE portal, gate.nptel.ac.in. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a joint initiative of IITs, including IIT Madras and IISc, Bengaluru. The portal was sponsored by Amadeus Labs Bengaluru and was launched in August 2022.
The current semester started on October 15, 2023 and 19 mock tests have been completed in seven subjects, including the six previous ones and Biotechnology, on the NPTEL-GATE portal.
In live preparation sessions, 3,975 students participated in 521 phase 1 sessions and 3,321 students in 367 Phase 2 sessions. Phase 3 live sessions are currently ongoing. These interactive lessons cover essential GATE topics in various fields.
115 GATE mock test in 2022-23
Students can access previous years' question papers from 2007 to 2022 through the NPTEL-GATE. In the last session ,students attempted 115 mock tests across six key subjects - electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication, physics, and chemistry – between August 2022 and February 2023.
More than 7 to 10 lakh students appear in the GATE exam . In 2023, approximately 7 lakh students registered for the GATE exam, of which around one lakh students qualified.
