30 lakh JEE, NEET mock tests taken on NTA App: HRD Minister

NEW DELHI: The Minister of Human Resource Development (MHRD), on July 20, 2020, has informed through his tweet that the National Test Abhyas app developed by National Testing Agency (NTA) has delivered 30 lakh free online practice sessions within 55 days of its launch. The app was launched on May 20, 2020, which aimed to provide free mock tests to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) aspirants for better preparations.

NTA’s National Testing Abhyas app Agenda
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the lockdown was imposed across the country, as a result, many NEET and JEE aspirants were unable to attend their coaching classes. This app was launched for such candidates in order to assist them to prepare well for the examinations. The duration to attempt the mock test is of three hours and aspirants can attempt it anytime during the day. Earlier, the app only had questions in the English language. However, the education minister had on June 21, 2020, announced that the app will also have question papers/mock test in Hindi.

Candidates can take daily 3 hours mock test at any time of the day as per their convenience

Then by clicking on the tab of total and subject-wise scores they can examine and evaluate their performance

Candidates will receive correct answers with explanations

They will also be able to evaluate time spent by them on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics individually
NEET 2020 will be held on September 13, while JEE Main is scheduled to be held from September 1 to 6, 2020.
